Clinical Director
Integrative Psychotherapist & Educational Coach
(She/Her)
Casey Applegate-Aguilar, PhD, MS, LPCC, LMHC
As an integrative psychotherapist trained in mind-body-spirit techniques, I specialize in working with 1) neurodivergent parents who want to heal their childhood traumas and change their relationships with their children; 2) neurodivergent teens and children who want to navigate the world as themselves without feeling constantly overwhelmed; 3) individuals wanting clarity about possible ADHD and/or autism.
I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adults, teens, & children in developing deeper understandings of themselves and navigating the world in ways that best suit them. Our sessions give you a space to be yourself without judgment while processing traumas and overwhelm, & trying new tools to find what works best for you.
I also specialize in helping overwhelmed parents heal their childhood wounds and break the cycle of generational trauma so they can transform their relationships with their children. If you feel anxious, irritable, and overwhelmed by parenting, having children may have triggered old wounds. This is a call for healing. Like me, my clients are often neurodivergent and highly sensitive, with childhoods that left them feeling unsupported and unsure of themselves. These past experiences can lead to worry, obsessiveness, relationship challenges, perfectionism, and difficulty making decisions. In therapy, we work together to unlearn the past and create a new way of being for you and your children.
I support clients with gentle, empowering approaches such as expressive arts, music (including the Safe and Sound Protocol), clinical hypnosis, mindfulness, “parts” therapy, inner child work, dreamwork, and body-oriented psychotherapy. These methods support you in shifting your thoughts, emotions, neural networks, and energetic body to uncover your inner wisdom and become your truest Self.
Together, we will develop awareness, re-tune your nervous system, heal old wounds, and build new skills to empower you. You’ll learn to ground and nurture yourself; develop mindful awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and body; and express emotions and boundaries in healthy ways.

Certified to deliver the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a powerful evidence-based listening therapy designed to reduce hearing sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music. As a practical application of Polyvagal Theory, the SSP acts as a non-invasive acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping retune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration, and resilience. The SSP involves listening to specifically filtered music through headphones alongside a provider in person or remotely. Suitable for children and adults, the SSP has demonstrated benefits for individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences, Autism, ADHD, and more. MORE is demonstrated to be 3x as effective as standard therapy, producing a 50% drop in cravings, 30% reduction in pain, 43% reduction in anxiety, 38% improvement in depression, and 42% reduction in substance use relapse. MORE is demonstrated to produce a 59% reduction in treatment dropout, with a 59% success rate in treating chronic pain and PTSD.

(He/Him)
I am deeply passionate about supporting underserved communities and take great pride in working with teenagers, individuals, and groups from all walks of life. I am particularly committed to helping men navigate their mental health, as I understand the unique societal pressures and stigmas that can make it difficult for us to seek support.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that problems should be addressed holistically, focusing on the entire person—mind, body, and spirit. I tailor each session to a client’s unique needs, incorporating various individualized techniques and therapeutic modalities as needed to foster healing and growth.
Through a compassionate and holistic lens, I aim to create a safe and empowering solutions-focused environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. Whether working with teenagers grappling with life transitions, individuals battling addiction, or groups seeking connection and support, I am here to guide my clients in overcoming their struggles and achieving lasting change.

(She/Her)
I bring a unique blend of life experience and academic knowledge to my role as a therapist. With a passion for working with people and over a decade of study in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, I offer a holistic perspective on mental health and well-being.
Through my lived experiences, I have developed deep empathy for those struggling with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I aim to share the tools I have learned to support clients facing similar challenges.
I strive to tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from insight- and mindfulness-based techniques and cognitive-behavioral approaches. My goal is to create a space where clients can explore their experiences and cultivate self-compassion as a pathway to values-driven well-being.
My interests focus on positive psychology, especially the potential of peak experiences and flow states in promoting well-being. This area of study, combined with my diverse life experiences, continues to shape my approach to therapy. I am committed to integrating various therapeutic techniques to best serve each client’s needs. Whether in short-term or longer-term work, I aim to create a collaborative space where we can explore patterns of behavior, understand how personal history influences the present, and work towards a more fulfilling life.
